The closing of Eighty Seven Park beats June condo sales in Miami-Dade

The South Florida housing market is showing signs of a summer doldrums.
Peak condo sales for June totaled $219.1 million, down $65 million from May’s total of $284.1 million and down from the total of $250.4 million in April.

MLS data from condo.com shows sales prices for the top 45 condos in June ranged from $1.5 million to $19.2 million, ahead of the May peak sale for a Faena House condo in Miami Beach Amount of 15.5 million US dollars. That’s pretty much the only increase.

June’s top sale was a $19.2 million deal at Eighty Seven Park in Miami Beach. David Siddons represented the seller and Debra and Eyal Golan the buyers. All three agents are with Douglas Elliman.

Second place went to a $14.4 million closing at the Porsche Design Tower. Nelson Gonzalez of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty had the listing and Melissa Barragan of Dezer Platinum Realty represented the buyer.

The top 45 sales in June averaged $4.8 million, down from the averages of $6.3 million in May and $6.1 million in April — and far from average of $7.1 million in March.

The average price per square foot was $1,684 and ranged from $558 per square foot to $6,605 per square foot. This is also lower than the average for the previous three months (May: $1,907 per square foot, April: $1,931 per square foot, March: $1,912 per square foot).
