Ethel worked at several banks in Weslaco, where she loved bank customers and employees. In 2006, she sold her home and moved to John Knox Village, where she enjoyed the company and friendship of everyone who lived there. She was especially grateful for the friendship and support she received from Andrea Treviño and her caregivers.
Ethel is survived by a nephew, Andres William Stewart, living in Zaragoza, Spain, and two great-nieces and one grand-nephew, and a nephew, Alejandro Stewart, living in Tarragona, Spain. Her sister, Mary Claire, and William, her brother, predeceased her.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at John Knox Village.
