Minnesota man falls out of motor home, is run over in Laughlin and killed

A Minnesota man was killed Monday in Laughlin when police said he fell from a motor home he was driving and was run over by it.

At 6:52 a.m. on Monday, dispatchers received a call informing them that a man was seriously injured in an accident at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort RV Park, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Police said Bob Bruner, 67, of Albany, Minnesota, was securing his 2004 Tiffin Allegro RV from a parking lot when the trailer that was hooked to the back of the vehicle buckled.

According to police, Bruner was trying to pull the vehicle forward and level the trailer when it fell out the driver’s door. Witnesses told police that Bruner landed on his head and did not move.

“The driver landed in the way of the rear tires of the coach,” said the police in a press release. “The coach was still in motion and drove slowly forward.”

Bruner was then run over by the vehicle and killed. The Clark County coroner said Bruner died from a head and neck trauma. His death is listed as an accident.

The death marked the 40th road death in Metro jurisdiction in 2021.
