The Municipality of Marbella has set up information boards to inform and inform the public about Red Cross Flag Day.
Today, October 21st, the Marbella community joined Red Cross Flag Day under the motto #SiempreContigo and was more informative and fun than fundraising.
Councilor for Social Rights in Marbella, Isabel Cintado, points out that “this year the association did not take its traditional piggy banks onto the streets and took the opportunity to set up six information boards in the community”.
The information tables have been prepared thematically based on the institution’s areas of knowledge such as social inclusion, employment, education or emergencies.
“The Red Cross is a recognized non-profit NGO with an impeccable work history and a great job in our city,” said the mayor, highlighting the programs it promotes “for the elderly, childhood, youth, immigrants” and Families in extremely vulnerable situations, ”she said.
She also highlighted the support that the municipality of Marbella is giving the association through an agreement for an amount of 433,700 euros to pay the center for the immediate integration of the homeless.
Cintando said: “It is a program that started in 2018 and has been expanded with another center in San Pedro Alcántara and the incorporation of a mobile social emergency unit for immediate help.”
