Heritage Foundation invites the public to remember

The Webb County Heritage Foundation is hosting on Friday June 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Villa Antigua Border Heritage Museum at 810 Zaragoza St. A. a book signing with Wanda Garner Cash, author of “Pancho Villa’s Saddle at the Cadillac Bar”. The author’s presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m.

Part memoirs from Nuevo Laredo’s iconic pub and part cookery book, the book tells the colorful stories of this “magical oasis” that attracted border residents as well as international VIPs and left fond memories for generations of visitors.

“With a saddle that supposedly belonged to the Pancho Villa proudly displayed in the main dining room, the Cadillac Bar made a name for itself as one of the best restaurants and pubs in the southwest, and even survived a 1954 flood that hit cities on both sides of the country devastated the Rio Grande, ”the editor’s notes read.
