‘Ghosts’: Take a First Look at Rose McIver’s New CBS Comedy (VIDEO) | entertainment



It’s getting incredibly creepy at CBS, as the network adds Ghosts for his autumn constellation. The series with Rose McIver ((iZombie) and Utkarsh Ambudkar ((The Mindy Project) will debut on Thursdays in the new TV season.

The single-camera comedy follows freelance journalist Samantha (McIver) and chef Jay (Ambudkar), two townspeople who move to their family’s run-down estate to set up a bed and breakfast business. The catch? The place is littered with ghosts and ghosts.

The former residents of the property who now haunt the place are a tightly knit group of eclectic personalities consisting of a lounge singer from the prohibition era, a pompous militiaman from the 18th century, a hippie from the 60s, a scout troop leader from the 80s and a Viking explorer. A finance brother from the 90s, a funny Indian and Samantha’s ancestor from society in the 1800s.

Upon the arrival of Samantha and Jay, ghosts go into a frenzy when they learn of the couple’s plans to create a bed and breakfast. And things go from strange to strange when the ghosts discover that Samantha is the first person alive who can see and hear her.

McIver and Ambudkar include Danielle Pinnock, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Asher Grodman, Sheila Carrasco, Román Zaragoza, Devan Chandler Long, and Rebecca Wisocky. Ghosts is produced by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, Mathew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen and Angie Stephenson.
