There is no shortage of events and activities this weekend – Friday, August 27 through Sunday, August 29, 2021 – in Carson City, Nevada. The jam-packed schedule includes some of the community’s summer time booklets and also heralds the return of general season trains through the V&T Railway Commission. Capital City Brewfest – 3pm – 8pm Saturday, August 28th
Cheers! More than two dozen brewers and distilleries will line Curry Street with live music in McFadden Plaza at this annual summer event, the premier fundraiser for the Carson City Rotary Club. The money raised helps fund the organization’s scholarships and other community projects. Tickets are priced at $ 35 and $ 40 at the box office.
Outlaw Flat Trac Race – Friday August 27th – Saturday August 28th
Get ready for fast-paced action with the Outlaw Flat Trac Motorcycle Races taking place in Fuji Park. Ametuer races take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the evening program starts at 7 p.m. A charity race, fire brigade versus police, will take place on Friday, August 27th, with a portion of the gate costs going to the local fire brigade and police departments. Ticket cost is $ 20 upfront and $ 25 on the day of the event. If you buy an adult ticket on Friday evening, you get free entry for one child.
Levitt AMP Carson City – 7pm Saturday, August 28th
Los Coast will perform on The Change Companies stage for the penultimate event of the Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series at The Brewery Arts Center this summer. These free, family-friendly concerts are a great way to hang out with friends and family.
V&T Railway Rides Again – 10 a.m. Saturday, August 28th
All aboard! After 18 months since their last field trip, the V&T Railway and historic No. 18 locomotive are back on the rails for exciting and memorable tours from Carson City to Virginia City. The shortened season returns with ceremonies and celebrations at the Eastgate Depot in Carson City, starting regular Saturday and Sunday trips through October 31, followed by the return of the Polar Express this holiday season.
