The owner of La Shish Kabob restaurant, Izzat Freitekh, 55, and his son Tarik Freitekh were both charged with conspiracy to commit wire transfer fraud and, once, with bank fraud. WSOC reported that Izzat Freitekh was also charged with false information.
Charlotte ABC partner WSOC found out Freitekh’s son Tarik lives a glamorous life. The self-proclaimed film producer poses on social media with Justin Beiber and other celebrities. His net worth is said to be $ 300 million.
A federal indictment alleged that Tarik and his father participated in a program to obtain “$ 1.7 million in COVID-19 aids” through “multiple fraudulent PPP loan applications on behalf of three companies.”
WSOC stopped at Izzat Freitekh’s restaurant on North Sharon Amity Friday where he was working. Freitekh did not speak in front of the camera, but outside of the camera he protested to be innocent.

WSOC spoke to Tarik’s lawyer on Friday. He declined to comment.
