M1 Go Ahead Eagles vs SC Heerenveen: This is the first game of the season in the Netherlands. The Go Ahead Eagles are back in the top division after four years. Heerenveen finished 12th in the Eredivsie last season.

M2 Huesca vs Eibar: Opening game of the Spanish second division season between two relegated last season from La Liga. Their two encounters last season both ended in a 1-1 draw.

M3 Borussia Mönchengladbach – Bayern Munich: The opening game of the new Bundesliga season, in which Bayern Munich are chasing the tenth title in a row. Gladbach was last German champion in 1977.

M4 Sporting Charleroi vs Royal Antwerp: Charleroi have a single win and two draws in the first three games of the Belgian season. Antwerp scored five goals at Standard Liège last Sunday.

M5 Brondby versus FC Nordsjaelland: Champion Brondby has yet to win in the first four games of the new Danish season. Nordsjaelland have won the last two games and scored five goals.

M6 Brentford vs Arsenal: Brentford’s first top game in 74 years will be a tough start against London rivals Arsenal when the Premier League kicks off.

M7 Lorient vs Monaco: Lorient took a point on the opening weekend of the new French season in St Etienne, while Monaco’s first game also resulted in a 1-1 draw at home against Nantes.

M8 Valencia vs Getafe: Getafe are unbeaten in their last five games against Valencia, with two wins and three draws. This is the first game in the new La Liga campaign.

M9 Estoril vs Vitoria Guimaraes: Estoril has lost half of Guimaraes’ eight previous visits. Estoril have won three with a draw.

M10 Real Zaragoza vs. UD Ibiza: For the first time, Ibiza rises in the second division in Spain. Zaragoza has been stuck in the second division for 10 seasons.
