Blackstone LaunchPad is expanding to include the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)

NEW YORK & LAS VEGAS, September 29, 2021– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Blackstone LaunchPad announced today that it is rolling out its student entrepreneurship and skill building program to students at the College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Blackstone LaunchPad’s network will provide students at these institutions with the resources and opportunities to help them build next generation businesses and careers.

Whitfield . “The Blackstone LaunchPad investment in partnership with the Troesh Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at our Lee Business School will help UNLV build a pipeline of accomplished, innovative business leaders ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century economy.” For students in these schools, Blackstone LaunchPad will provide a global network of lasting professional relationships with mentors and faculty advisors through proven startup resources and unique virtual and physical conferencing opportunities. Students have the opportunity to participate in pitch competitions, scholarships, and live speaker series to pursue their desired career with the skills necessary for success.

The Nevada Partnership is part of the $ 40 million pledge from the Blackstone Charitable Foundation Extend Blackstone LaunchPad to higher quality institutions that have a heterogeneous majority of the population or serve underserved communities. The initiative began with an expansion to bring Blackstone LaunchPad’s network and resources to six additional locations in the United States University of Texas system, known as Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). It has since expanded on three historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in Atlanta and nine schools of the City University of New York (CUNY). Blackstone LaunchPad is available to over one million students in 46 schools in the United States and Ireland and will expand its program to 75 locations over the next five years.
